Two Blogs Walked onto a Playground

Okay, here goes my crazy attempt at getting all of my favorite blogs into one story.  I draw so much inspiration and support from these bloggers and wanted to see if I could fit them all into the same place and create a story that actually made a bit of sense.  I did it but my brain hurts.

If my story doesn’t make sense just go ahead and stop reading, click on any link and read their words.  You will not be disappointed.

Two Blogs Walked onto a Playground

One day the Four plus an angel and their mommy had just left a candy shop and were in search of a new place to play.  While wiping off their freckles and fudge covered faces, they started listing off the fun places they could visit next.  Before they could make up their minds they saw a belle, a bean and a dog waiting with their scary mommy at the corner.

Good day, regular people.” she said.  ”We are heading to the best playground ever. I mean you will be transplanted times three when you see it, it is THAT good!”

Naturally the four figured this was pretty all true and wanted to come along.  As usual the youngest of the bunch had one foot stuck to the floor but they pulled him along anyway.  They followed the peeks and valleys and were thrilled to be skipping out on naptime (Momtog never let them do that).

Holy Peestick, Batman!” Parker exclaimed as the wonders of the new playground came into view, “for the love of blogs, how did you find this place?”

“Oh, by word of mouth,” said a belle, a bean and a dog, “wait until you meet everyone. Yeah, good times happen here.”

So in these small moments, at the new playground, Parker felt like the king and eyed every swing, slide and climber in the place… life, interrupted by the endless possibilities in front of him.

All the theta moms and a few dads, very secure in their manhood, were sitting at the park benches chatting away.  The kludgy mom of the bunch sat with a big daddy, autism giving him a run for his money today.  They watched the grasshoppa go by and knew they should be taming insanity over at the swings but figured Autism Army Mom, over there with her whistle, could keep it all under control.  Well next thing those parents know, the tattletale of the bunch Martha, points and says “Moooom, there goes the Flying Chalupa, he is one of those stinker babies who stole all of my fancy letters for Lucas!”

So Carrie, with children at her feet, and Martha tattling from afar, thought she better put on her mommy pants and just go get buried with children to stop the bad words from flying.  Sometimes you just have to soak up your adventures in extreme parenthood and have fun, you know?  Even if you are the mommy of a monster, you just have to take a deep breath, run with the kids like you are an old tweener, and forget about the woes of mumsyhood.

Because your days of mommy monologues are short and enjoying the small things is just about the best thing you can do.

Once a mother, life is never the same and once a blogger your playground is a whole new world.

But I’m just that way, that’s just me.

The mom to four plus an angel, on my way home from a great day at this new place to play, I mean, blog.

Edited to add: So many people mentioned wanting to try this with their blogroll that I decided to add a linky to it. Give it a shot and link up the story of your blogroll.
