Four Years

Before you read this I have to take a moment to say how truly humbled I am to be nominated as a Woman of Strength by the incomparable Nichole of In These Small Moments. If you have an extra second you can view her beautiful post here.

My blogoversary was two days ago.

I have been blogging for four years and have never celebrated the anniversary of the day I began blogging so apparently this year is no exception.

I began this blog when I was pregnant with the triplets and the promise of an uneventful pregnancy was quickly unraveling.

Thinking back to creating that first post, I remember typing with the hopes and dreams of three babies nestled under my heart and wishing with everything I had that they would all be okay.

Never could I have imagined the devastating twists or the glorious turns ahead of us.

Four years later and we are hanging on.

But we are better than hanging on,

we are hugging and squeezing and soaking up life.

Because long NICU stays and sleepless nights and missed blogoversaries aside,

loving the life in front of you

is the perfect way to cherish the life you are missing.

Oh, this is perfect. Love the life in front of you.

And you, my dear? You do that better than many.

And Nichole’s nod to you was well-deserved and I was so pleased when she told me.

What a beautiful post. For some reason or other, I find that many of the posts I’ve read today pertain to cherishing the finer moments in life… it’s always a very important reminder, isn’t it? Love this photo so very much of your little angels. Beautiful :)

    And happy blogoversary to you!

Happy Blogoversary! Wow – 4 years! I’ll have to buy you a drink next time I see you. Although it will probably be chocolate milk since I’m sure we’ll be at some sort of kids play place. ;)

Congratulations on your “blogoversery.” What an amazing accomplishment 4 years is and an inspiration to a “newbie” blogger. I feel very fortunate to have happened upon your blog and look forward to each time I see one of your “stories” pop up on my Google Reader! Keep ‘em coming… :)

Congrats on FOUR years! That is so awesome. Do you feel like you’ve been doing it forever? I kinda do, since it will be 5 years for me in November! Crazy!

    Happy blogoversary!

Sorry we didn’t get to meet at the PRSA event last night, but thanks for participating. It’s so important for PR pros to understand how to work with bloggers, and you and the others definitely provided some good insight to those in the room who don’t have experience working with bloggers.

Ooooh! The “hugging and squeezing and soaking up life”, combined with that photo? TOO much!

    Happy 4th blogoversary!

Happy blogaversery!! Your words are beautiful (as always), and you are wise. Celebrating and living life is indeed a tribute to those who are gone, though that doesn’t make their presence any less missed.

Gorgeous as always- and a great reminder to be in the moment, and to appreciate it.

Happy blogaversary friend! I’m so glad you’re still sharing your beautiful words here!

Happy (belated) Blogoversary! I really enjoyed meeting you in person tonight. Can’t wait to connect with you again soon. Maybe lunch sometime? (I can provide teenagers for babysitting) ;-)
