Personal Chef Anyone?

And the winner is…

winnerentry #20 Maggie S. of Accidentally By Design!

I am not the best chef.

I happen to be one of those moms that has three or four meals that I make every week, followed by pizza night and then several prayers that we go out to dinner on Saturday followed by a new recipe the next day, if my family is lucky, make something that is actually edible when I get the courage up to try a new recipes for the remaining nights of the week.

Enter Julie Anne Rhodes.

She is my new personal chef.

No we did not win the lottery, I just joined her site.

Julie Anne has been a personal chef to the stars for years and even won “Best Poultry Burger in America” on Food Network’s Ultimate Recipe Showdown. (Which makes her a bigger star than Justin Bieber in my foodie-teenager’s eyes.)

Her site is phenomenal and makes me feel like I can cook my way through the holidays with confidence.

There are recipes galore and video how to’s for the cooking-challenged (me!) and with a premium membership you can enjoy meal plans, grocery lists, “heat to eat” instructions and talk with others in her forums just in case you enjoy talking to people online more than people in real life.

Here is a day in the life of my favorite recipes at Julie Anne Rhodes. Since this is my dream meal plan, yes, there is dessert in between every meal, you’re welcome.

Breakfast:

Frittata

Dessert:

Mom's Almond Toffee Biscotti

Mom's Almond Toffee Biscotti

Lunch:

Mozzarella and Tomato Relish on Ciabatta with Le Freak-n-Great Chicken Soup

Dessert:

apple crumble

Old Fashioned Apple Crumble

Dinner:

White meat lasagna with salad marlene

White Meat Lasagna with Salad Marlene

Dessert:

Valrohna Chocolate Lava Cake

So here is the best part (besides a day with dessert in between every meal)… Julie Anne is offering a 3 month premium membership to one lucky reader.

I made that recipe the first time for one of my favorite parties I was hired to do – it was an “I survived the first year of being a parent” party on their baby’s 1st birthday. The childhood favorites kicked up for adult tastebuds. SO much fun to dream up and do.

  15. Okay I never join giveaways…but this is something my family (read: me) really needs.

I can’t decide whether I’d visit her chicken or her meat more often (that doesn’t sound quite right, but I’m sure you know what I mean).

    But consider me entered.
And my family (read: me) thanks you.

Watch out for a new healthy, but delish Cinnamon Spiked Banana Nut Muffins recipe I wrote last night. I have two sets of guinea pigs trying the recipe out for me this week, and if it gets their thumbs up as much as mine I will be posting it before the end of the month.

  20. How come that I have exactly the very same agony every single evening about what we should eat? And I mean that I MUST find out, shop the ingredients and cook something very tasty and healthy for my kids. Gosh, I lack ideas a lot of times, so I end up making the same recipes again and again.
