I have a teenager and three little ones at home who are four and under. I also spent two pregnancies on bedrest. Somewhere in the world this qualifies me for an honorary degree in online shopping.
I watched a talk show the other day where a fashion “expert” explained how to keep your dark jeans looking like new. She said the best thing to do is to only wash them after every third or forth day of wear. My jeans have been used as a burp cloth, kleenex and play-doh flattener. Unwashed they could walk by themselves. Somewhere in the world this qualifies me for an honorary degree in reality.
When I used my brain for things besides remembering who pooped last and how to remove permanent marker from my son’s face, I received an actual degree in marketing and worked in the corporate and non-profit sectors helping companies build their brands and advertise the best of what they had to offer.
The past six months or so, the more I used everyone’s new love, Pinterest, the more my actual degree meshed with the imaginary degrees I have given myself. Before long, a dear friend, fabulous fashionista and fellow Pinterest addict, Tracy of Sellabitmum and I, decided to join forces and create our own social media consulting team based solely around Pinterest.
Today I could not be happier to say that our new venture, Pin Savvy Social, has launched. We will spotlight amazing companies and products in the weeks to come and give you all kinds of Pinterest-centered activities with lots of chances to win new products.
