I have wanted to do this for a long time, I have an amazing photographer of a friend out in this blogging world and have always wanted to show off her work. I also would like to fly on a plane to meet her and have her take photographs of my children but I figured showing her off here was a little more realistic. So we have collaborated on a Wordful Wednesday post.
My words, her beautiful photography.
I hope I did them justice.
—————————-
-Mommy look at those.
-Yep, Parker, that’s nice. Lets go. I said, never looking up from my arms full of baby and shoes and coats, all necessary to get us out the door on time.
I turned to come back down the stairs, attempting to free one of my arms in order to pull along his, and I saw what he saw.
Rows of icicles, glimmering outside the window, long and beautiful at the level of a three year-old eye.
I had never noticed.
I dropped the belongings in my arms and filled them instead, with my three wandering babies, crouching down to take it all in.
I asked them what they could see, their eyes widened as they pointed to the tear drops floating from each pane of ice, to the tree branches bowing under heavy snow.
I had never seen any of it before this moment.
I stop at that window every time I pass it now, pulling close whatever child is nearby.
Hoping to instill in them a love for beauty as fleeting as icicles.
They will be gone soon.

I know it's hard to live in snow…but that's so lovely! It makes me wish I lived where it snows.
Just a little. 😉

Well I will trade places with you for a bit and you will have all the snow you ever wanted.
