Both of my girls have dairy sensitivities so I’m always in search of a good recipe for dairy-free waffles that the whole family will eat. I’ve made all kinds of adjustments to our favorite waffle recipe to make it dairy free and just as good as the recipe full of dairy products.
Here’s what we ended up with. The result is fluffy, tasty waffles and they are completely kid-approved!
Dairy-free waffles
2 cups of flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 cups of almond milk (soy or rice milk work fine as well)
2 eggs
1/3 cup of butter melted (Fleishmann’s unsalted is our favorite dairy free butter)
1 tsp vanilla (omit vanilla if using vanilla flavored milk)
1 tbsp water
1. Mix all the dry ingredients.
2. Add in the wet ingredients.
3. Pour about 1/4 of cup on the waffle griddle and cook for 3 minutes or so.
(Our favorite waffle iron, easy to use and doesn’t take up half a cupboard.)
Enjoy!!
