Inspired by all of these bloggers who are now vlogging, I decided I would try it this week.
I got the kids all settled with a movie and snack sure to hypnotize them keep them still, and let the camera roll.
As you will see, this may be my first, and last, vlog.
Now who wants to babysit?

I am laughing so hard. That might have been one of the best vlogs ever! Not that you’re children aren’t wonderful, because they are priceless, but that might be good birth control if anyone ever needs it.

So funny isn’t it? I died laughing as I watched the million clips I took. I didn’t realize they were THAT bad until I watched them myself.
This is the greatest vlog ever…and again why I could not even attempt to vlog. You see by the end i would be drunk and cursing and cps would be involved and entering the screen shot. hahah (Oh but at least you look beautiful!)

Yeah, asking anyone to be quiet around here is a lost case. I don’t think they can even hear me speak over their own noise.

LOL – I seriously was laughing all through this… not AT you, but with you… oh man, I’ve been there (kinda – I only have one, but she LOVES the camera!!) I think you should attempt another vlog – and honestly – I only noticed the braces (which are barely noticable) because you mentioned them! 🙂

NO! That can’t be your one and only vlog! I’ve already watched it twice because I found it so amusing. Do you think if you had told the kids to make as much noise as they could that maybe they would have just stared mute at the camera?
Seriously Allison I probably should have tried that. I’ve had a few requests to do this again. I guess seeing my chaos makes everyone else feel better about their own house.

Hi, I’m a new reader and so glad I’ve found your site! This vlog had me laughing! Certainly not at you, but because this is my life!! To do my vlog I hide in my bedroom while the kids are either in bed or being entertained by my husband. Otherwise? It would be EXACTLY like yours! Too cute!!

Ha! That is exactly what would happen in my house. When we skype with family, I end up so annoyed with my kids because they won’t stop making faces at … themselves. 🙂

Ya know, this just shows how much you roll with things! You just giggled right along and it barely phased you that they were being so silly!
How did you get words to overlay the video? I could only figure out how to do it as a transition.
If you click on the “T” icon in iMovie it will show text slides and you just drag them to the screen shot you want them to appear in. I’m still figuring it out though, I could only get them to overlay at certain points, other’s I could not insert them. No idea why.

The first two vlogs I did were exactly the same way. The kids were acting totally crazy in them. I’ve learned to embrace the craziness now.

Hahaha…this was very similar to what my vlog would be. I think I’ll go ahead and take a cue from you and stick to typing everything out in between playing hide and seek, cleaning up poopy pants and teaching the series of numbers 26-30 for the four BILLIONTH time. 😉

You know I’ve always been very anti-this vlogging thing but it’s pretty cool to see people you read in real life. Even if you insist on covering your face because of braces you CAN’T REALLY SEE ANYWAY!!!
I have been anti-vlogging too but love seeing everyone. You have to do it at least once so we can all see you too, it’s only fair. 🙂
