She did it.
Years ago I never could have imagined high school.
That my daughter would be able to navigate busy hallways,
a schedule,
the lunch room,
and a general education class or two.
But today, I watched her get on the bus for the last day of her ninth grade year.
She did it.
And because I wasn’t already bursting with enough pride, Ashlyn is also being featured as part of the Special Olympics and P & G Say Thank You campaign at SITS. Stop by and see her video debut.

Way to go Ashlyn! Of course with a mom like Jennifer, I mean, Jessica ๐ she’s bound to succeed!
I saw they fixed the article–and turned your “son” into a daughter! LOL! I was a bit obnoxious in my comment over there, but I’m glad the mistakes were fixed!
Congrats on the SITS love though–you can’t beat that!
I know, I sent them a panic email, I was afraid it wouldn\’t be fixed before she got home from school today!
I have tears of happiness for you guys. Just so wonderful. xoxo
You have every reason in the world to be proud!
Congrats on a job well done Mama .. and congrats to Ashlyn and all her hard work!

Yay Ashlyn!!!! Hope she enjoys her last day. I’m sure my sister will be giving her a big hug. ๐ I have to bookmark it to watch the video later.
We are going to miss your sister this summer. Maybe she can join one of our playdates? Ashlyn would think that was the greatest thing ever.
