I’ve been practicing yoga at home for almost three years. At some point I came to the realization that if I had to attend a class somewhere I was never going to get in shape. Once I started looking for ways to do yoga at home I found a huge amount of classes online. With this discovery came way more motivation to get moving daily.
I’m at a point now where I crave my daily yoga class. It centers me and helps me start the day a little bit calmer. Through my search for yoga classes that help me gain strength and maybe a little extra patience I’ve narrowed down a list of go to classes. Here are my favorites with links to some of my favorite videos in their collections:
No cost
Yoga with Adrienne– Adrienne is the absolutely best instructor to start with if this is your first attempt at yoga. If you want to take it slow and take great care of your body this is where to begin. I cannot recommend Adrienne enough. She is the first yoga instructor I go back to when I need to nurse a sore back or get rid of a headache.
Allie the Journey Junkie– If I could put a name on this list in flashing lights it would be this one. I came across Allie earlier this year and have become absolutely addicted to her videos. She chills me out completely while giving me an awesome workout. I’ve gained strength and piece of mind from her practices. I can’t believe she doesn’t have more subscribers than she does.
Yoga with Kassandra– I found Kassandra through the Journey Junkie somehow and I really like her yoga instruction as well. Many of her practices pack a good punch if you’re looking for a little more strength building. She also has some great yin yoga if you want to relax and stretch out.
Yoga by Candace– Candace is great for when you want to get right to work. Her classes are generally a little more fast-paced and challenging. I don’t find as much of the mind-centering work through her practices but I do get the strength building I need all packed into a short amount of time. She’s definitely worth a try when you’re up for a challenge.
Low cost
Yoga Collective– This is the best low cost yoga subscription service I’ve seen available. If you check Groupon you can almost always get a Groupon deal for $12 for a year subscription. I’ve bought the subscription two years in a row this way. The Yoga Collective has a variety of excellent instructors and you can search their classes by length of time, instructor and what you want to focus on. Well worth $12!
Travis Elliot’s Ultimate Yogi– I love Travis as an instructor. He is one of the first yoga instructors I ever tried and I still enjoy practicing with him. His videos slowly work you towards really challenging practices and get you in excellent shape in a short amount of time. His videos can be purchased here.
ABSOLUTE FAVORITE
I’m in love with Obe Fitness, absolutely in love. They have all kinds of workouts including many variations of yoga classes. I’m 100% hooked. I mean you guys I look forward to working out every single day. They have live classes that you can join or a huge library of replays.
If you want to try them out I begged them for a free trial or discount code to give you guys and they came through. You can follow this link and put in the code JESSICAW30 for a free trial then 30% off your subscription. And when you do try it check out yoga with Franscesca or anything with Isaac, he is my favorite!!
