My little McKenna is such an old soul.
The older she gets the more it is clear she understands things that can’t quite be put into four year-old words. She often says things that make me want to freeze the moment, etch her words in my mind and search for a frame exquisite enough to come close to what came out of her little heart-shaped lips.
The other night while laying with her before bed she was twirling glow sticks, a bedtime luxury around here, and she bent the colors downwards and handed me another piece of her four year-old wisdom:
This looks like a rainbow Mommy. And a sad face.
Sometimes sad faces turn into rainbows if you just close your eyes a little.
I was connected with a rainbow of a person several months ago who sent me artwork so gorgeous that I am not sure thank you will ever be quite enough. And then I was reminded one more time just how amazing she is when she offered to do a giveaway for my readers.
I am honored to be giving away a $75 gift certificate to Heart Box Studio and a copy of Chrissy’s gorgeous book The Gift.
And I’m thrilled to a friend like Chrissy, who always help me find a rainbow.

Little people are so wise and they can spot rainbows where adults would never even bother to look for them. Take care. xo
