Oh hi, I actually didn’t forget about my blog, an ice storm has left us without power and internet (gasp) since last weekend. I’m blogging during the five minutes of internet connection that may or may not last for five minutes after that so am squeezing in a quick I hope everyone had a great holiday and a pile of pictures.
Over the past year my favorite outlet, outside of writing, has definitely been photography. I’ve gotten better at it (I think) and Instagram has been the perfect place for me to work on my cheating-to-make-my-photos-look-better skills. I loved looking through the photos of the past year in the dim lights of our barely-powered house and here are my favorites… some because I love the photo, some because I love the story behind it.

So great! I actually came here looking for the little video you made on instagram that shuffled through a bunch of your photos (didn’t you do one?). I always do a year in favorite photos, and since i pretty much only took phone photos this year, mine will likely be a year in Instagram too.

I don’t think you need any extra help with your photography. You have a great eye for capturing a story in a single frame. Can’t wait to see what you take in 2014.
