We’ve been snowed in long enough to attempt crafts. I’ve even handed over the stapler to people under the age of 18 and we managed to come up with a sweet St. Patrick’s Day garland to hang on my favorite fireplace mantel.
The kids and I made the cutest St. Patrick’s Day garland and they loved hanging it up above our fireplace almost as much as they loved using the stapler. It was a great way for them to work on tracing and cutting and counting and sharing the coveted stapler.
1. Cut strips of paper vertically (we used a ruler to trace the lines).
2. Fold the paper in half and staple at the center. Then bend the paper outward so the ends touch and staple again.
3. Once you have three hearts made, connect them at the bottom with a staple.
4. Connect each shamrock with a staple. We alternated green and white but you could make any pattern.
5. Hang up your garland and admire your work.

You HAVE been crafting! Maybe if it gets cold again this weekend (Though, God I hope not!) we’ll do some St. Patty’s Day crafts!

My goodness, what a busy lady.

What a great interview and what a crazy blogging schedule! Thanks for sharing, Gigi!
For Cheryl…(1) What made you want to co-start The Red Dress Club? (2) What blogger(s) do you look up to for their writing skills? (3) What is your favorite thing about running?
Sherri says
Great answers, Gigi! And here’s to hoping you get more sleep down the road…

I love the hot seat! It was great learning more about GiGi. I’m excited to see what questions everyone has for MommyPants!

Thanks for letting me be the first Hot Seat person, Jess! It’s a brilliant idea!
My question for Cheryl is:
If you had to give up one thing: running or blogging, which would it be and why?
And also, who is that fabulous roommate you’re going to have at BlogHer? ๐
The Drama Mama says
Ok, I have to stop in for this regularly now. I love Gigi, though like her, I don’t have a lot of time to read much anymore (unless its Red Dress Club). I love that she put Cheryl in the Hot Seat!! WOot Woot!!
Ok, for Cheryl….I want to know: What’s the hardest part of co-hosting The Red Dress Club and how much has it affected her dedication to Mommypants?
blueviolet @ A Nut in a Nutshell says
There’s no way I could survive on that schedule. Unbelievable.

I loved this HotSeat with Gigi, what a great idea!
And I’m with her with every second behind the keyboard, and only 4 hrs of sleep a night,
Hoping it pays of here, too.
Congrats on a first great feature with HS, Jess.
I look forward to MommyPants turn!

How do you get your hair to look so cute all the time with 3 kids?
Tina @ Life Without Pink says
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this feature, how fun!!! Gigi is so inspiring but its nice to know that goes through balancing issues just like the rest of us. I dont think we’ll ever have balance as mothers. Can’t wait to read Cheryl’s answers!
Jessica says
My question is the same as Leigh Ann’s…how do you come up with prompts for The Red Dress Club?
Leigh Ann (The Twin Spin) says
First, Jessica, I already love this series. How much fun it is to read questions and answers from all of our fave bloggers. I loved Gigi’s honesty about how she has difficulty handling it all. It makes us feel normal for letting the laundry sit longer than it should.
For Cheryl, how do you come up with the prompts for the Red Dress Club? Is it difficult running a collaborative site?
Jayme says
Her cake answer has won me over. I’m officially a fan now ๐
